QUAKERS HONORED BY HCAC

RICHMOND, Ind. — Four players from the Earlham College baseball team were honored by
the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference on Tuesday as the post-season awards
Ted Williams, Ryan Hayes, Colton Miller and Chris Tillery were all recognized.
Williams was selected to the All-HCAC Second Team, while Hayes and Miller were both
on the honorable mention list. Tillery was named to the All-HCAC Sportsmanship Team.
As one of three players to start all 37 games for the Quakers, Williams topped the
squad with a .346 batting average along with 45 hits, 31 RBI, 27 runs scored and six
triples. Williams, who was All-HCAC Honorable Mention last year, batted .349 in 23
Hayes led the Quakers with five home runs. Second on the team with a .336 batting
average, 37 hits and 21 RBI this season, Hayes was on the All-HCAC Honorable Mention
list last year.
With a team-high 15 appearances on the mound, Miller led the Quakers with a 2.12
ERA. Overall, Miller was 2-3 and opponents had a .206 batting average against him.
In 10 conference games, he had an ERA of 1.86 with a 2-2 record.
Tillery had 20 starts in 29 games for the Quakers as he batted .280.
