FOUR IU EAST ATHLETES EARN KIAC WEEKLY HONORS

Four Indiana University East athletes earned Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference athlete of the week awards, the league announced March 26.
Redshirt senior Vanessa Legg (Lynn, Ind./Randolph Southern High School) was named
the KIAC women's outdoor field athlete of the week.
Freshman Seth Prince (Albany, Ind./Delta High School) was named the KIAC men's
outdoor track athlete of the week.
Redshirt freshman Josiah Lemons (Richmond, Ind./Richmond High School) was named the
KIAC men's outdoor field athlete of the week.
Freshman Luke Warren (Vallonia, Ind./Brownstown Central High School) was named the
KIAC men's golfer of the week
Legg finished first out of 17 participants in the javelin and set a new school
record with a throw of 35.06 meters at the Indiana Wesleyan University Polar Bear
Invitational on March 24.
Legg has won 10 KIAC weekly track and field honors.
Prince set a school record in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:56 at the Polar Bear
Lemons finished third out of 19 participants in the long jump at the Polar Bear
Invitational and set a new school record with a mark of 21-8. He also was a member
of the 4x100 relay team that set a new school record with a time of 44.73.
He won the KIAC men's field athlete of the week honor for the second consecutive week.
Warren finished the Brescia University Spring Shootout on March 23 with a 1-under
70. He placed third and was two strokes behind medalist Nick Patterson from Saint
Catherine. Warren's round of 70 was the best individual spring 18-hole round in IU
East's NAIA history.
