Saturday as the Quakers competed in the Early Bird Invitational at the Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology.
Jacob Naegeli led the Quakers in the non-scoring meet with a first-place finish in
the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:53.62
Zander Ansara had the next best finish for the Quakers by taking third in the triple
jump with a 40'6¾" leap. Ansara added a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles
with a time of 58.8 seconds.
The other Quakers to finish in the top eight were:
• Robert Lugg, fourth, 3,000-meter steeplechase, 10:25.24
• Jonathan Dyson, fourth, triple jump, 39'10½"

The Quakers participate in the Anderson University Invitational next Saturday. The
event begins at 11:30 p.m.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A school record was tied on Saturday as the Earlham College
women's track team participated in the Early Bird Invitational at the Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology.
Naami Wagner matched the Earlham standard in the pole vault as she cleared 9'6¼" to
finish third. Allison Blaetz set the mark in 2008.
Elizabeth Ross and Zoe Wolfe tied for the top finish for the Quakers in the
non-scoring meet. Both competitors went 4'10¼" in the high jump to tied for second
place.
In the 5,000-meter run, Emma Hauser was third with a time of 20:08.26, while Hannah
Santino had a time of 21:13.90 to finish fifth.
JaLissa Watt, Ximena Banegas, Emily Bell-Hoerth and Kate Birdsall finished third in
the 400-meter relay with a time of 55.03 seconds.
The 1,600-meter relay squad of Birdsall, Emma Jenkins-Sullivan, Hanna Klondaris and
Wolfe was fifth with a time of 4:30.71.
Earlham is slated to compete in the Anderson University Invitational next Saturday.
