Penn State’s Grier named Swimmer of the Week, Minnesota’s Jorgensen tabbed Diver of
the Week, Penn State’s Savoy earns Freshman of the Week honors



Swimmer of the Week

Sean Grier, Penn State

So. – Hummelstown, Pa. – Hershey



·         Recorded two first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay
(1:22.15) and 400-yard medley relay (3:16.52) and a second-place effort in the
200-yard freestyle (1:42.49) against Buffalo

·         Placed first in the 100-yard freestyle (45.93), 100-yard backstroke
(48.20), 200-yard medley relay (1:30.48) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:02.25)
against Lehigh

·         His 100-yard backstroke time is an NCAA provisional qualifying mark

·         Earns the first weekly award of his career

Diver of the Week

Kristoffer Jorgensen, Minnesota

Sr. – Bergen, Norway – Danielsen VGS



·         Placed first in the 1-meter (393.50) and 3-meter (393.50) events at the
Minnesota Challenge

·         Both scores are NCAA Zone qualifying marks

·         Earns the first weekly award of his career

second-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (46.47), 200-yard medley relay
(1:31.31) and 400-yard freestyle relay (3:08.91) against Lehigh
