Warrior Soccer Starts Strong

The 2014-15 version of the Warrior Soccer Team started the season out well with a come from behind tie versus a strong Maumee Valley team and a big home win to open the season. The Warriors season opened at Maumee Valley where the Warriors found themselves down 3-1 at the half. Alex Arbogast had put the Warriors on the board with an early goal but MV came back and answered 3 times. After the half the Warriors put it into another gear and put the pressure on the Hawks. Chris Dick and Harrison Zarecki scored to give the Warriors the tie to make them 0-0-1 in both the TAAC and Northwest Ohio High School Soccer League
In the Home opener the Warriors took on NWOHSSL foe Liberty Center and started the game with a bang. Senior Nathan Dick scored 28 seconds into the contest to put the Warriors on the board. Adam Regnier and Alex Arbogast followed with nice goals to give the Warriors a 3-0 halftime lead. Harrison Zarecki scored the final talley in the second half to secure the 4-0 shutout win. Kenny Rowe was stellar in the net for the Warrior defense. The victory gives the Warriors a 1-0-1 record in the NWOHSSL.
The Warriors host Cardinal Stritch on 8/28 and then follow with matches against Toledo Christian, Ottawa Hills, and new TAAC member Tiffin Calvert before a week long break in their schedule for Senior Trip.
