Waking up early and running on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend is not what most high schoolers want to do but that’s just what a dozen schools did this morning including your Emmanuel Warriors. The Emmanuel cross country runners competed in the 14th Annual Springfield Runnin’ with the Devils Cross Country Invitational. This year Springfield added middle school races to its long standing invitational. Brandon Wisnofske competed in the boys’ 2 mile race running a personal best time of 14:34.2 and earning a 12th place finish. Chris Dick ran in the freshman 5K race and dropped his time down to 24:07.3, a new personal best, making it to a 23rd place finish. Braden Plenzler also improved on his time from Tuesday running a 24:58.8 and finishing in 28th. Alex Vick ran a personal best time of 24:10.6 giving him a 14th place finish in the boys’ sophomore race. Junior, Nathan Dick ran another great time of 18:40.8 with a 6th place finish for him. Alex Newberg improved his time for the season as well, his time of 19:30.1 garnered him an 11th place spot. The lone female Warrior, Savannah Holley, bested her time for the season running 23:22.3 and acquiring her a 4th place finish.
Great Job to all that ran today!
