Warriors Finish 2nd at OCSAA State Tournament

March 7, 2013
Emmanuel Christian School

The Warriors were able to make it back to the OCSAA Final Four for the second year in a row but came up a bit short in their bid to repeat as State Champions losing to a good Miami Valley Christian School 51-45 in the Final Game.  The Warriors started their run by defeating First Baptist of Elyria 65-42 and won the Regional Final against OCSAA rival Temple Christian (Mansfield) by a score of 61-49.  Ryan Creech, Bobby Behan, Jason Regnier, and Trent Groenhout all played well in the Regional games.

The Warriors went to Circleville with the intent to come home with a 2nd straight OCSAA crown and things looked good after the first night when the Warriors came out with a 42-29 victory over Ohio Valley Christian. Ryan and Bobby led the Warriors with 19 and 11 respectively.  In the final game the Warriors found themselves down by 10 at the half, but came roaring out in the second half cutting the MV lead to 3.  The Warriors couldn't overcome their own cold shooting and lost 51-45 finishing second.  Great Season Team!
