Series returns to Maine after Multi-year Absence
CHESHIRE, Conn. (Nov. 16, 2011) - With the season opener now less than one month away, officials at East Coast Snocross (ECS) are pleased to announce the final three dates on their 2011-2012 event schedule.
On February 11-12, 2012, the series will make its debut in Boscawen, New Hampshire, for Round 5. Officials have purposely left a spot open in their championship points schedule on February 18-19 for the prestigious Grand Prix de Valcourt, taking place in eastern Quebec.
While the 30th annual Grand Prix is not an ECS points race, all teams are encouraged to attend and support this great event.
Lastly on March 10-11, 2012, the series will make a long-awaited and highly anticipated return to the Great State of Maine. Sanctioned snocross racing will return to Carrabassett Valley, with the Carrabassett Valley Inn as host and with support from renowned ski resort Sugarloaf USA. The event will take place at the Sugarloaf Regional Airport, just off Routes 27/16 for easy fan and racer access.
HCP Designs Joins Family of ECS Sponsors
CHESHIRE, Conn. (Nov. 14, 2011) - Inside the world of snowmobile racing, everything is about color. Sled manufacturers are usually identified by a distinctive color, while sponsors all have their own easily identifiable logos with specific colors, as well.
Among the most colorful items widely used in snocross racing are helmets, with high-end artwork making them very attractive. One of the nation's finest sources for custom helmet designs is now supporting our sport, as HCP Designs joins East Coast Snocross (ECS) as a new sponsor for the 2011-2012 season.
HCP Designs is owned and operated by Chad Harris, of Holland, Michigan. Harris, 30, has raced motocross since he was young and painted his first helmet at age 12. He started HCP Designs in 2001, growing steadily with expanded market share in both snocross and motocross.
"We're excited to have such a talented designer join our growing family of sponsors," said ECS president Bob Roscoe. "Chad does excellent work, and our racers appreciate what he can do to a helmet. To have HCP Designs on board for the coming season is a great boost. We all welcome Chad to the family and urge our teams and fans to consider his services."
Harris enjoys the work snocross has provided for his company. In the months of September, October and November, HCP cranks out about five months worth of work. It can be stressful, yet Harris breathes a sigh of relief once orders are filled and teams head for Duluth.
