Still Scoring Despite Losses

The Varsity Hockey team suffered their first conference loss Thusday, December 15 to the highly ranked Burnsville Blaze 8-2. The Lightning led after the first period 1-0 on a nice 2 on 1 breakaway that resulted in a Ryan McNamara goal,assists from Scott Nelson and Jon Plaszcz. Our next goal came in the second period, Scott Nelson picked up another assist by winning a face off, getting the puck to McNamara for his second goal.

The Varsity Hockey team lost to Lakeville South Saturday 8-1. The Lightning's only goal came in the third period when Austin Clapp scored on assists from Brady Kelley and Garrett Cropsey.

The Boy’s JV Hockey team lost an exciting game to Lakeville South over the weekend 4-3. After two periods, the game was tied at 2-2. Lakeville scored early scored in the middle of the 3rd period to go ahead 3-2. With 14 seconds left to go in the 3rd period, Ethan Murray scored with an assist going to Brett Schweiger to tie the game 3-3 and send it into overtime. Lakeville scored 2 minutes into overtime to seal the victory. Scoring the other 2 goals for Eastview were Josh Chatfield (assisted by Murray and Cole Cooper) and Schweiger (assisted by Garret Cropsey).
