Blazers Score Four In Seventh To Stun Lions
April 12, 2011By Sam Sprunger of Eastside High School
The Blazer baseball team had a thrilling come from behind victory, last night, against the Leo Lions. The Blazers entered the seventh inning down 4-1 and surrendered the first out before Chase Rayle started off the rally. Bryce Yoder followed with an RBI single. Then with two outs and a runner on third, Eyon Reas singled to make it 4-3. With the Blazers down to their last strike, Jordan Sprunger doubled to the right field fence, scoring Reas, to tie the game. Travis Shuman singled in Sprunger, on the next pitch, to give Eastside the lead. Bryce Yoder shut the door on the Lions in the bottom half of the seventh for the save. Nate Mack pitched six excellent innings, but got a no decision, while Chase Rayle got the win. The Blazers are back in action tonight when they travel to Angola.
