IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (2-18-13) "Promoting education-based athletics in Indiana

IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week (2-18-13)
"Promoting education-based athletics in Indiana."

What does your locker room mean to you?  Do you look at it like a place to congregate, or does it mean something special?  Do you take things seriously when you are behind those closed doors?

Most quality programs treat their locker rooms like the serious classroom in school.  It's a place to learn, it's a place to dream, it's a place to think about getting better, and it's a place where athletes are critiqued and challenged.

Make your locker room a special place.  Sure there are times to have fun and enjoy the moment, but most of your time should be spent in a serious frame of mind.

It's the place you prepare mentally for those quality practices and successful games.
