By Trent Hanson of East Ridge High School

East Ridge High School is pleased to announce that Mrs. Erin Nickleby has been hired as Head Volleyball Coach.   Erin brings a diverse background to the Raptors.    She has been coaching at the high school and JO level for the past 12 years.

Erin grew up in a dominant volleyball program, graduating from Fargo North High School (North Dakota), with four state tournament appearances and 1 state championship victory.  She was a member of the All State Team.  She continued with her volleyball career at UW-River Falls, where she was a part of two WIAC conference championship teams and two NCAA regional final appearances.

Erin started her high school coaching career at Park High School in 2004 as an assistant coach.  In 2007, Erin took an assistant coaching position at Eastview High School.  Her Eastview team advanced to the State Championship game in 2009, taking 2nd place.  Erin has also spent time coaching JO’s throughout the years and volunteering on the Stillwater Area High School staff.

Erin is excited to bring her successful playing and coaching experience as well as her love for the sport to East Ridge volleyball!  A player interest meeting will be held in May, with a family meet and greet in early August.   Details about both events will be announced.
