OFFENSE
With nine starters back on offense, the
Rams figure to be a playoff challenger
once again in 2011. Kason Key (6-4,
215, Sr.) returns at quarterback after
throwing for2,079 yards a year ago.
He completed 58 percent of his passes
(166-of-287) but his touchdown-tointerception
ratio was just 20-to-17.
Key has improved his arm strength and
has accepted more of a leadership role
this season. Patterson praised Key’s
understanding of the passing game
and his ability to read defenses. Keon
Hatcher possesses big-play potential
whenever he touches the ball. He led
all wide receivers in catches (74) and
receiving yards (1,075).................
