The Oklahoma City All Sports Association welcomed the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship to AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City this summer, marking the city’s 12th time to host the event. The tournament was divided into two divisions, with the 1, 4, 5, and 8 seeds: Texas,Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Missouri, respectively; and the 2, 3, 6, and 7 seeds: Oklahoma, Kansas State, Baylor, Kansas, respectively; playing for a spot in the title game.

Texas A&M and Baylor came out of division play to face each other in the Big 12 Championship game, where the Bears took a lead all the way to the ninth inning only to see the Aggies tie the game in the bottom of the inning, taking the game into extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th inning Texas A&M’s Brodie Green ended the game with a walk-off homerun to give the Aggies a 5-3 win over the Bears and claim the 2010 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Tournament Championship.

It was Texas A&M’s second Big 12 Championship and their first since 2007, which also came against Baylor.
