Gridiron Action Opens With Week One Scrimmage

Sequoyah Tahlequah, Stigler, Sallisaw and Grove all were anxious to hit someone in an opposing team's jersey as the first week of high school footballscrimmages included the spirited action of the four teams on Friday night.  All four teams had big time plays on offense and defense. The scrimmage also highlighted the play of a talented trio of quarterbacks that will be featured on the cover of VYPE 3 Rivers August issue with Scott Shearwood of Stigler, Ben Oberste of Sallisaw and Brayden Scott of Sequoyah Tahlequah lead their team's efforts in 2012 football.
