Eagles fall to Warriors

October 1, 2011
By Calvin Walters of Eastern Alamance High School

After struggling through 3 quarters of play the Eastern Alamance Eagles came to life in the final quarter.

It was just too late.

After an Aaron Clay punt return for a touchdown brought the Eagles to within one score at 21-14, a bad Western Alamance punt set the Eagles up in great field position.  Chad Wilson converted a few plays later on a rushing touchdown to tie the game up.

That's when the Warriors responded.

After returning the kickoff to Eagle territory Western Alamance marched down the field culminating in a BJ Bunn touchdown for the final score.

The Eagles shot themselves in the foot all night with two interceptions and a fumble on a botched handoff.

The Eagles only other touchdown came on a kickoff return for a td as Malik Wilson responded to the Warriors jumping to a 14-0 lead at the start of the third quarter.

Western Alamance scored early on a BJ Bunn touchdown catch of 60 yards after busting a two yard swing route to the house.

Eastern Alamance (4-3,1-2) will host Morehead next Friday night for homecoming.
