Home » Football NewsEagles crush the RamsNovember 26, 2010 By Calvin Walters of Eastern Alamance High SchoolEastern Alamance used a dominating defense on the way to a 38-7 victory over the NE Guilford Rams in the third round of the state playoffs. EA opened the scoring with a field goal from Tripp Huppman, before a Javonte Ellison touchdown run put the Eagles up 9-0 at the start of the second quarter. An Alexander Dawson touchdown return on a fumble from NE put the Eagles up 17-0 after a two point conversion. The Eagles opened the second half with a long td pass from quarterback Will Walker to Aaron Clay to push the lead to 24-0. NE answered on a long touchdown run on the next play, but the Eagles did not allow another Ram touchdown. Eastern Alamance will travel to Havelock next week in a rematch of last years Eastern Regional Championship, which the Eagles won 24-6.
