Des Moines Area Community College - Boone Campus

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) freshman Alec Crawford of Wilton has been named to the National Junior College Division II World Series All-Tournament Team announced June 4 at the conclusion of the championship game.

Crawford set a NJCAA Division II World Series Tournament record when he struck out 15 batters as the Bears defeated UConn-Avery Point 5-0 in the tournament’s second round. Crawford tossed a complete game five-hitter in leading DMACC to the win. He struck out four batters in the first two innings and struck out at least one batter in each inning except the eighth.

DMACC finished sixth in the tournament.
