Home » Girls' Basketball NewsMARIAH DOWDELL TO PLAY BASKETBALL AT DMACCMay 31, 2011 Des Moines Area Community College - Boone CampusMariah Dowdell, a point guard from Bradenton Southeast High School in Bradenton, Fla., has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). "Mariah is a leader and a heck of a basketball talent," DMACC women's basketball coach Steve Krafcisin said. "She brings toughness, passion and determination to the basketball court and to every aspect of her life. Dowdell averaged 13 points and seven assists while leading the Seminoles to a 25-5 record this past season. The team has a 53-7 record during the past two seasons and is a two-time district champion. Dowdell was named to the Florida Class 3A All-State team as a senior. "I'm very excited to have Mariah be part of our DMACC basketball family," Krafcisin said.
