Bucks Win District Tournament Opener

The Bucks baseball team rode a strong pitching performance from Dylan Hussey to a 2-0 win over Piper in the first round of the District 11-6A tournament. Hussey turned in a complete game performance, limiting the Bengals to only two hits. Sophomore Drew Danner was 1-2 at the plate and drove in both runs. Co-captain Tyler Hubbard had three hits including a double and scored twice.
The Bucks will host second-seeded Taravella today at 4 pm. The winner of the second round game advances to the championship round against the winner of the Douglas / Plantation matchup. |
