Track Athletes Qualify for Regionals

The boys track team finished 3rd in Thursday's (4/23) district meet at Park Vista HS. The host team won the overall event with 239.5 points followed by Coral Springs with 153.5. The Bucks scored 78 points. Denard Robinson won the 100 meter dash in a time of 10.83. Teammate Cassius McDowell captured second with an 11.05. The Bucks other win came in the 400 relay as Robinson and McDowell teamed with Dotson and Witty to turn in a time of 41.53. Other Bucks who qualified for the regional meet include Etienne (3rd) in the 400 M, Robinson (3rd) in the 200, Guy Beaudeau (3rd) in the shotput, and Robinson (3rd) in the high jump. The regional meet will be held on Thursday 4/30 at Coral Springs HS.
In the girls competition, Givens finished 4th in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.01. She also qualifies for the regional meet. |
