PDQ Senior Night meant fun and funds

It was a night of food, fun and friends, as the Class of 2014 hosted a family night sponsored by PDQ located in Pompano Beach Florida. Once you mentioned that you’re with DBHS, 10% of the proceeds were given to class of 2014. The idea came from vice president Berline Cherelus, who is also an employee at PDQ’s. The money will be used to help decrease the expenses for things such as the prom and graduation extras for the DBHS seniors.

The first hour of the promotion was a bit slow, but as Bucks supporters began to arrive  they explained that they wanted to be fashionably late.

“Its better to come a little late and that way you wont have to go through the awkward waiting that always happens at the beginning of a party,” explained junior Courtney Anger.

By 7:30 p.m., the guest count had sky rocketed as lines were practically out the door. Many people had arrived to support not only class of 2014 but to show their Buck Pride. Many DBHS students brought along parents as well as siblings and grandparents.

“I just got here but I like the atmosphere," said Reginald Torrence. " I haven’t ordered my food yet but I know its going to be really good."

PDQ workers as well as managers were more than willing to help out with the event. They were excited to be given this type of publicity and are always excited to have a full house. All night the buzz and chatter helped to energize the managers.

“ We love hosting events like these, you know we love helping schools out, I mean it helps us out and we can connect with the community or people in the local area.”

To attract even more customers, PDQ staffers had games set up outside to elude an air of family and fun. A game of corn hole was placed to attract more guests. If you were lucky enough to win, you received a free shake or malt. Many customers joined in and showed off their competitive streak.

For many DBHS seniors, this event was a way for them to catch up with fellow members of the Class of 2014 and celebrate one of their last days as high school students. Overall, PDQ was definitely the place to be to on this Friday night.

The turn out was great, meaning that there will probably be more events like this. So other DBHS classes and clubs, take note. Bucks and their families love PDQ.
