Home » NJROTC NewsNJROTC Rifle Team Competes in MBA ClassicOctober 18, 2011 By Lisa Gosnell of David Crockett High SchoolCongratulations to the NJROTC rifle team for their outstanding performance this weekend at the Montgomery Bell Academy Rifle Classic in Nashville. The MBA Classic is the largest high-school sponsored shooting event in the U.S. with over 55 high schools from around the country competing. The Pioneer team of Matt Hawkins, Meghan Lockwood, Jesse Adams, and Chasity Mullins finished second out of 56 teams, 1 point behind first place former national champion team from Missouri. Matt Hawkins led our cadets with his 3rd place individual finish out of 200 shooters. Meghan Lockwood and Chasity Mullins also finished in the top eight, qualifying for the finals shoot-off. Other Pioneer shooters included Justin Ojeda, Tyler Dobson, Felixe Gampe, Casey Arwood, Dylan McCrary, and Michael Loudy.
