The Value

While most recreation leagues charge $125.00 per player, AMYBL has a two fold common sense approach. Provide quality facility  combined with top competition from some of Georgia's top 6U-8U teams at cost effective prices. What better way to showcase your talents!

League

This is a competitive team league , individual players are encouraged to contact our league officials to find a team.  There will be no draft for individual players.

Conferences

There will be 6-8 teams per conference. Each team will play an 8 game schedule which may consist of some cross league play.   Games played during the MLK Classic will count towards your game total.

Age Determination

Age Determining Date is January 1 , 2011.  Ex.  If your birthday is  August 28 , 2005 , you are eligible to play 6U.  Players will be permitted to play their age group or 1 age division up.  Players who wish to play up must notify the League commissioner.

Playing Rules

All players must play a maximum of 1 quarter.  Lines up and playing time are at the discretion of the head coach.

6U -8U  -   6 minute quarters w/ stop clock , 5 minute half time , 3 minute overtime

9U             7 minute quarters w/stop clock , 5 minute half time , 3 minute overtime

 

Goal Height

The gym facility will decitate what height the goals will be.  If the sight has the capabilities to lower the gym , then 6U,7U will play on 8' goals .  8u,9u will play on 10' goals.

Championship Tournament

All teams will advance to bracket play / play-offs.  Teams will be seeded 1-8 based on regular season record . Play-offs are single game elimination.

Awards

Regular season league MVP's  , All Tournament teams , and Championship  MVP's will be selected and awarded at the end of the season.  Selections will be eligible to participate in the 2013 AMYBL  All Stars weekend.

Added value

AMYBL teams will be able to participate in  Presidents Day Classic   Feb 16,17 at no additional charge.
