Home » Newspaper NewsNew Psychologist Probing MindsSeptember 29, 2011 Harvard High SchoolWhat's on your Mind? Mr Baldner wants to Know by Veronica Martinez & Joel Mendoza Among the new staff at Harvard High School this year is the new school psychologist, Mr. Oliver Baldner. For a school psychologist, Mr. Baldner does more than just talk to kids and provide counseling. Mr. Baldner is in charge of academic interventions as well as behavioral interventions. Some of the evaluations he conducts include psychological and special education evaluations. He is also a part of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports team here at HHS. When he’s not investigating the complexities of the mind , Mr. Baldner works in the art of music. Writing music is one of his many hobbies. He listens and admires the music of various rock shows he occasionally attends. Not only does he love music but he has an insatiable appetite. A chef in the making, Mr. Baldner enjoys preparing meals and, of course, eating them. But what is really in the mind of a psychologist? “I wouldn’t do that to you,” he quipped in reply. Mr. Baldner already has a busy schedule working with students this fall and helping whenever he can.
