New Teacher: Miss Robaczewski

September 13, 2011
Harvard High School

-- By Carlie Gabrys --

Harvard High School has welcomed Ms. Deb Robaczewski as a new mathematics teacher this year.  And if teaching at a new school isn't enough of a challenge, Ms. Robaczewski is also the new varsity volleyball coach.

A graduate of Concordia University Chicago, Robaczewski majored in secondary education, and has fulfilled her goal of becoming a teacher.  Realizing that her name is not easy to pronounce, coach Robaczweski advised her volleyball players that they could address her informally as Robo, Robo cop, and Rowboat. Most studens have gone with coach Robol and it seems to suit her fine.  Coach  Robo likes the atmosphere a HHS, but she said she is use to teaching just 50 minute periods,  not 82,

The staff is very welcoming and helpful and the students, she said.

Coach Robo is excited for this season with the Hornets.  As a setter on her college volleyball team, she knows the importance of practice, drills and conditioning.  She said she hates missed serves and is looking forward to a successful year.
