The maintenance issue that caused Cummings High School officials to call off home basketball games has been resolved, according to the Alamance-Burlington School System’s athletics director.

   Erica Turner said the support mechanism from one of the practice baskets in the Cummings gym has been fixed.

   On Tuesday night, Cummings is scheduled to play host to Graham in girls’ and boys’ games in the Mid-State 2-A Conference.

   Last week’s home games against conference opponent Jordan-Matthews were postponed until Jan. 30. Turner said she was unaware of the problem until she was contacted by the Times-News the night following the postponed games.
