8th Grade Volleyball Win Mid-State Championship!

Last night the 8th Lady Cubs faced the Quakers from Plainfield in the Championship of the Mid-State Conference Tournament!  The Lady Cubs stunned the crowd by playing their best set yet in the first set winning 25-18.  The Lady Cubs played with enthusiasm, heart, and dedication.  The Quakers came back ready to play the second set, but couldn't step up to the level the Lady Cubs were playing!  Service aces, kills, digs, communication, and teamwork were all key components which led to the 8th Grade Lady Cubs winning the match in two and becoming the 2011 8th  Grade Conference Champs!!  The Lady Cubs are now 13-2!  They will finish their season next week against Martinsville West on Tuesday and start the County Tournament on Thursday!  Way to Go!!
