31-22 victory over the visiting Braves!

The 7th grade Lady Cubs basketball team started their county tournament action last night here at home.  There seemed to be a lid on the basket the majority of the night as the Lady Cubs shot just 6-46 in the first half and 11-60 on the night.  The ladies had to look to there rebounding and defense to pull away with a 31-22 victory over the visiting Braves.  Emma Jones led the team with a double double of 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Sarah Sullivan had 3 freethrows for 3 points to go with her 4 steals.  Maya Elliott had 2 points and 6 rebounds.  Britney Klotzsche had 2 points and 5 rebounds.  Sydney Logsdon had 2 points and 7 rebounds.  Rilee King put in 1 point and grabbed 5 rebounds.  Morgan Luna had 2 steals, 2 assists, and 1 rebound, while Lexi Engelking had 1 steal. The team had great bench support and a nice crowd.  The ladies look to start knocking down some shots in the county championship on Saturday against Center Central at Clark Pleasant.  Come support your Lady Cubs as they vie to cut down the net!  The game starts at 10:00 AM.  Good luck ladies!
