8th Grade Lady Cub Basketball Results

The 8th grade Lady Cubs took on Clark Pleasant tonight and came out victorious in both the A and B games.  The A game score was 45-15.  The ladies took an early 10-0 lead and never looked back.  Balanced scoring was the theme of the entire team as 8 players scored at least 2 points.  Allison Barnard was the leading scorer with 9 points.
 
The “B” team had a close one as the Lady Cubs fought off a late charge from the Warriors to win 22-20.  The team was paced in scoring by Erika Hoffmann and Logan Hess with 6 and 5 points, respectively.  Despite not adding to the score board, Kendal Byrne played an extremely solid game, controlling the pace of the game from the guard position and shutting down her opponent on defense.
The next game for the ladies is Saturday as we head to challenge Martinsville East.  Wish them luck!
