7th Grade Girls Basketball Results

Congratulations to the 7th grade Lady Cubs basketball team!  The Lady Cubs started off their season with a solid victory by defeating Columbus Central at their place 49-25.  Despite a few first game jitters, the girls rallied from an early deficit and outplayed the Lady Chargers with aggressiveness and hustle.  Leading the way for the Lady Cubs was Emma Jones with 20 points and 9 rebounds.  Maya Elliott put in 8 points and nabbed 5 steals.  Sarah Sullivan lead the defensive intensity with 6 steals to go with her 6 assists and 7 points.  Rilee King also had 7 points and had some great offensive rebounds for a total of 7 on the night.  Sydney Logsdon chipped in 3 points and dished 3 assists.  Morgan Luna and Lexi Engelking had 2 points a piece.  Maddie Rector came in off the bench and provided scrappy defense to help rally to take the lead.  Great job ladies!  The Lady Cubs will be in action again next week when they travel to county rival Center Grove Central.
