Girls Mid State Track Results

The Girls Track Team battled a 40 minute lightening delay, races run in the rain and cold to come in second in last night's Mid State Championship.  McKinley Purdy was the lone champion, winning the high jump with a leap of 4"8".  Kinsley Castro took second in both the shot put and discus.  4x400 relay team of Purdy, Emma Jones, Chayse Blackwell and Gabby Lykins also took second.  Whitney Shapp came in third in both the shot put and the discus as well as the 4x100 relay of Purdy, Blackwell, Taylor McCann and Emma Beavins, Emma Jones and Grace Eastom had fourth place finishes on the 400M dash and 800M run respectively. Fifth place finishes went to Katie Hotopp in the 2400M, 1600M and 800M runs as well as McCann in the long Jump.   Gabby Lykins - 1600M run and Carly Sandrock - tie in the high jump finished out scoring in 7th place.  The Varsity finishes out their season next Wednesday at the county meet.
