8th Grade Lady Cubs Results

The 8th grade Lady Cubs girls basketball season came to an unwelcomed end Tuesday night.  The Lady Cubs traveled to Paul Hadley to face the Lady Pioneers in the semi-final round of the Jr. Mid-State conference tourney.  The Lady Cubs battled every possession throughout the game and forced overtime after an exciting 4th quarter.  The Lady Pioneers had the hot hands in the the overtime pulling away for the victory 49-44.  Team leaders for the Lady Cubs:  Whitney Shapp 15 pts., 3 rebounds and 2 assists, Maci Eads 10 pts. and 4 steals, Tana Smythe 9 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists, Baleigh Potter 6 points and Megan Hartkorn 4 points.
 
 The Lady Cubs ended their season with a 17-5 record finishing runner-up in both the County tournament and the Southport Shootout.  Congratulations on a successful season Ladies!  Coach Ferris is so very proud of you!  You will always be Champions in his heart!
