Crusader Girls start a new season

Norwich - VHCA opened the 2009 soccer season hosting the Oswego Royals at Weiler Park Friday, September 11th. The Royals team played the Crusaders in last season playoff championship game with the Crusader winning a double overtime game 1-0. This game ended in a 2-2 tie. VHCA scored first and the only goal of the first half when Nickala Netted a goal at 4:43 assisted by Cheyanne Ditty. Emily Rumo opened the second half scoring with goals at 29:12 and a second goal st 19:11 putting the Royals up 2-1. The Crusaders tied the score with the last goal of the game at 13:16 when Amanda Evans took a shot for top of the 18 yard box and Sarah Miedema redirected past the goalie. |
