Softball Team Beats Wes-Del

Cowan beat Wes-Del 5-0 at Wes-Del on Wednesday evening in the completion of a suspended game from earlier in the year. Shelby Wilcoxon pitched a complete game shutout for the Blackhawks, striking out eight batters and walking none. Kirsten O'Conner went 3-for-4 with two doubles for Cowan. Sara Masters hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning to help the Blackhawks pull away.  The softball team is now 21-3 on the season and 7-0 in conference play.  The girls will finish their regular season schedule this Saturday as they host Daleville for a double header.  The first game will begin at 10 AM.
