Head Track & Field Coach (Sprints & Relays)


Marc Paul is in his 9th year as head coach at Concordia Academy.  During the 2003-04 Coach Paul served as an assistant coach in Devon Lark's final season of a long and successful career of coaching.   Before coming to teach and coach for the Beacons, Marc spent 8 seasons as the Head Girl's Track & Field Coach at Park High School in Cottage Grove, and 2 seasons right out of college as the Boy's Head Coach for Woodbury High School, while teaching Phy-Ed, Health and Driver Ed in South Washington County.

Marc is proud to be a 1989 graduate of Concordia Academy, where he participated in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track & Field.  As a Junior, Paul was the 1988 Class A State Champion in the Long Jump and a year later was runner-up in the Long Jump and 100 meter dash as well as placing 4th in the Triple Jump.  Paul still holds school records in the Long Jump and 100 meter.   He went on to North Dakota State University as he continued his sprinting and jumping career.  He capped his career (1990-94) with NCAA Division II All-American Honors with a 4 x 100 relay team which broke the conference and school's record with a time of 40.72.

Paul currently teaches Scripture & Life, and Health at Concordia.  He and his wife Sara live in Maplewood and are blessed with 3 children: Clara (16), Sally (15), and Bryce (12).
