Beacons Continue to Show Improvement

April 27, 2014
By Marc Paul of Concordia Academy Track & Field

My apologies for the late posting of the results from Friday's meet at Park.  I received the results and noticed an error.  The error showed the boys team score with the Beacons in last place. I did not like the looks of that... until I noticed it also had us in 5th place.  I waited through the day for a response to my request to fix the results.  Since it still has not happened, I just decided to post what I have at this time.

It was a fun night again having a chance to compete against competition we do not normally see.  We found out again that we can indeed compete in meets like this with the athletes we have in our program.  That is a credit to the type of student-athletes we have and the hard work they continue to put in on a regular basis.

With good performances across the board, we had one boys event and one girls event take home a first place medal for the night.  The boys had another great race from the 4 x 800 relay team of Berhane Hanson, Joe Vallin, David Cullen, and Guy Hanson.  The girls had Clara Paul winning the Triple Jump.

Next up will be a Tri Metro Quad at home on Tuesday at 4:15.  Hope to see you there!
