The Beacons pounded Saint Paul Academy and Summit School 59-16 in the 4AA Quarterfinals on Saturday. The Beacons dominated this one from the beginning, despite some poor early-game shooting following a week off. As usual, the Beacon defense set the tone, holding SPA scoreless until the 14-minute mark of the first half. The Beacons held the Spartans to just 19 field goal attempts on the night and forced 38 SPA turnovers. Anika Neuman led the way for the Beacons with 13 points, including shooting 3/3 from behind the 3-point arc. She also grabbed 4 steals. Michala Walther also scored 13 points and added 3 steals. Megan Fallert chipped in 11 points and pulled down 9 boards while Jacquelyn Waedekin finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. All ten Beacons played big minutes in this one.
