Strong defense led to some easy baskets early in the half that got the Beacons’ confidence going. Kristen Stude got her first double-double of the season as she hit for 19 points, pulled down 10 boards and grabbed 3 steals. Michala Walther had an excellent all-around game, scoring a dozen points, grabbing 7 rebounds, dishing 3 assists and grabbing 3 steals. Anika Neuman also finished in double figures with 10 points. Megan Fallert was tough in the paint, finishing with a game-high 12 rebounds while Clara Paul led the way with 4 assists.
The C team got a win over Breck on a last second basket in overtime from Becca Erdman. This game was a defensive battle on both ends with the score never getting out of the teens. None-the-less, the C’s came away with an important conference win over a good Breck squad.
