St. Anthony (45-54-L) The Beacons struggled a bit against their conference rival, but managed to keep it close most of the way. The Beacons got off to a good start, pressuring St. Anthony and dictating the pace of the game. However the Huskies were able to pound the ball into the post and take advantage of their size. St. Anthony made a big run early in the second half, holding the Beacons to just 6 points in over 9 minutes to stretch their lead to 22, but the Beacons came roaring back with a defensive flurry in the waning minutes to cut the Husky advantage to single digits. Michala Walther shot 7/15 from the field on her way to 22 points. Kayleigh Sellner had a nice game as well, scoring 9 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Jacquelyn Waedekin provided a much-needed spark off the bench, hitting all three of her field goal attempts to finish with 9 points and 3 boards. Megan Fallert and Abby Wegner each pulled down 6 boards in the loss.
