The Beacon Football team went over to Humboldt H.S. in St. Paul on Saturday to see where the first two weeks of practices has done for them. Concordia's first team looked sharp on both offense and defense and look to build on that success as they head into week #1 of the regular season.
Austin Moldenhauer was a steady hand on the rudder on the offensive side of the ball. The Beacons were able to score on a multiple scoring drives including two passing the ball. Carlos Hernandez had a good day and the coaching staff is hoping that they can build something off of his play. Conrad Kramer had a touchdown on a long passing play. Roger Moore Jr. and Isaac Hernandez had good days in the backfield showing that they will be a physical tandem. Defensively, the rovers looked physical and did a good job directing the defense.
All in all a good day. Come out and watch your Beacon football team take on the Breck Mustangs at Break next Friday at 7pm.
Thank you to the Humboldt Hawks for being great hosts this past Saturday. Blessings to your team this season and next week as you take on the Edison Tommies.
