It was a tournament filled with ranked class AA schools. Game 1 #5 Litchfield 60 Concordia 44 In game one, Litchfield took a 23-17 halftime lead. Concordia's defense did a great job of shutting down the dragon’s motion offense. Concordia would find themselves down by 18 points in the second half and would cut the lead to 8 with four minutes left but couldn't get any closer. Jared Schneidermann would lead the beacons scoring with 17 followed by Charlie Kennelly with 10. Game 2 Concordia 74 #10 Southland 59 Concordia next game of the tournament was a victory over #10 Southland. The beacons would take a 33-29 halftime lead even with the hot shooting of Southland going 6-12 from 3's. They would cool down in the second half and Concordia would outscore them 41- 30 for the 74-59 victory. Concordia would put three players in double figures with Charlie Kennelly 17, Jared Schneidermann 14, and Roger Moore Jr. 10. Game 3 Braham 69 Concordia 67 Concordia would run into a hot shooting Braham team that would go 15-31 from three-point range for the game. The beacons would find themselves down twice by ten points and would battle back both times to tie the game. Tied 67-67 with :31 seconds left in the game, Braham would make a shot with 1.6 seconds left in the game to take the lead. Concordia would take a timeout and fail to run a successful play. This is the second time this year Concordia would lose on a last second shot. Jared Schneidermann would lead the beacons in scoring with 18 points and would be named to the All-tournament team. Next up Concordia travels to Providence on January 4th in the conference opener. Game time is 7pm.
