Concordia 54 Mayer Lutheran 46

Concordia (12-8) defeated Mayer Lutheran (16-5) 54-46 Saturday afternoon in a hard fought physical game.  The beacons started the game on a 7-0 run and the crusaders didn't let the game get away playing great defense with a variety of man and zone.  Concordia would take a halftime lead of 28-25 and never trailed the rest of the game.  Mayer had a chance to tie the game with 40 seconds left and missed a three point shot.  Concordia hit their free-throws down the stretch and get the non conference win. 

Zach Osmundson led all scorers for Concordia.  The beacons allowed only one player to get double figures in scoring.  Tanner Luebke had 13 points for the crusaders.

Next up Concordia travels to Mounds Park Academy Monday night.  Game time is 7pm.
