Following the conclusion of her prep career, the five-foot-six junior will continue her volleyball career at Texas State. “I am relieved that the recruiting process is over but a whole new process is starting now,” said Schrier. “I choose Texas State because the campus is beautiful, the location is prime and the competition is tough. Coach (Karen) Chisum expects a lot out of her team and gets results every year.” A member of The Woodlands Wave, Schrier was named all-District for the Cavaliers this past season. As a move-in from Colorado, Schrier proved to be a critical component to the College Park defense as she totaled 3.8 digs per set to rank second on the squad. While Schrier still has approximately 18 months before enrolling at Texas State, the junior standout maintains that she is still striving to continually get better and more consistent on the floor while being positioned to lead her team as a senior. “I am so blessed to have this opportunity given to me,” said Schrier. “Right now I am working on training for the crossfit games. In doing that I can better prepare myself for hard competition on the court this next season while helping to stay motivated on school.”
