With a field of difficult competition on both sides and a muddy course, the Cardinals faced their first difficult test in the last few weeks, with both teams responding fairly well. The girl's team managed to pull out a 9 point victory over Lebanon, Lakota East, Oak Hills, and Ursaline, who were all ranked in the top 10 in the city. Standout performers on the girl's side included freshman Hannah Tobler and senior Allison Stafford, who worked together a majority of the race to finish 11th and 16th, respectively. On the boy's side, the team struggled but managed to secure a respectable 5th place. Members of the boys team who performed well included senior Erik Tomczewski, who finished 4th, as well as sophomore Nate Sizemore and senior Jimmy Booth, who packed up and finished 17th and 20th respectively.
