Lady cards head out for a big GMC match up at Lakota WEST. Things did not start off well for the lady cards in this one as WEST put the ball in play as Sharp 2hit our lady cards. The game was put away in the 6th when WEST scored 5 runs with some sloppy play as WEST downed Colerain 8-0.
Tuesday 4/10
East Central Trojans come to Colerain looking to improve on their 3-3 record. The Lady Cards had several scoring opportunities in this one as EC committed 7 errors but the Cards could not move runners or take advantage of the errors as they go down 4-2. Alexia pitched a good game giving up 3 earned runs in the 4-2 defeat.
Wednesday 4/11
The lady Cards look to rebound from the three game losing streak vs. Princeton. The Vikings come in allowing an average of 9 runs a contest and a 2-10 record so it appeared the Lady Cards may be able to get well on the offensive part of the game. Ash Roberts two hit the Lady Vikings allowing 1 run while striking out 6. Ash also went 2-3 at the plate including a double in the 5th to go with her 2RBI. Savannah Rantz also contributed again with a HUGE two our 2 RBI hit in the 4th as the Lady Cards improve to 6-6 with a 4-1 win. Friday 4/13
The lady Cards were looking to put two Ws back to back Friday vs. Hamilton. Hamilton came in ready to score and did just that in the 1st inning Gabby Smith hit a 2run HR for Hamilton and they strung together a couple hits to add a 3rd run in the inning.
The Lady Cards did not give up and plated 2 runs in their half of the 1st to get back in the game then took control in the third adding two more runs and eventually scoring 7 on 14 hits. Ash Roberts no hit Hamilton after the second inning to secure the W. Hayley Curtis and Mycheal Ortega both had 3 hits each.
