The 2011 Daily Chronicle Player of the Year said she was "heartbroken" to not head back to state in her sophomore campaign. But added she will play in a dozen Illinois Junior Golf Association tournaments hone her skills and calm her nerves on the grand stage.

The sectional qualifier came on strong at the end of the season. Has the length and athleticism to qualify for state as a senior.

Runner-up at the Class 1A Byron Regional capped the prep career for a two-time sectional qualifier.

A first time sectional qualifier, Filicetti will anchor the Timberwolves' lineup in 2012.
