Home » Football NewsWeek 9 Prep Football Preview CapsulesOctober 21, 2011 Genoa-Kingston High SchoolGENOA-KINGSTON (1-7, 0-4 BIG NORTHERN EAST) AT HARVARD (6-2, 2-2 BNC East) Game time: 7 p.m. Friday Last meeting: Harvard 27, Genoa-Kingston 6, on Sept. 11, 2009, at Harvard Directions to Harvard: Start out going east on IL-72/Park Street toward Market Street. Continue to follow IL-72 for 3.7 miles. Turn left onto IL-23, and continue 22 miles. Turn left onto US-14/South US Highway 14/South Division Street. Continue to follow US-14/South Division Street for 2 miles. Turn right onto East Blaine Street and go 0.1 miles. Take the second left onto North Jefferson Street and go 0.01 miles. The high school will be on the right. Scouting the Hornets: Harvard began its season 6-0, earning hype and praise along the way. But the Hornets have lost their past two. Last week, Harvard lost, 38-14, at Richmond-Burton (which beat G-K, 48-3, earlier this season) in a game that was essentially for the BNC title. Certainly, the Hornets will be looking for some momentum to change with an easy win on senior night. Keys to victory: Winning this game will be difficult, no matter how you look at it. The move to the BNC East has been inglorious. G-K hasn’t won a single game against an East opponent. Harvard is one of the division’s best teams. If the Cogs have any chance, they need to play as close to perfect as possible on both sides of the ball, and the Hornets have to make several mistakes.
