It was a good day for Timberwolves golf.” Genoa-Kingston (424) edged Indian Creek for fourth place by one stroke in the team standings. Hinckley-Big Rock followed in at fifth with a 433. H-BR senior Marni Warner was the regional’s runner-up with a 21-over-par 93, 11 shots behind individual champ Abbey Sullivan of Rockford Christian. Brittany Herrmann (102), a senior, will join her teammate in the sectional after finishing eighth overall. The Cogs also will be sending three individuals to Monday’s sectional at the Golf Club of Illinois in Algonquin – sophomore Andrea Strohmaier (97), junior Emily Wakeley (97) and sophomore Katie Thurlby (104).
