Winter Sports Parent Meeting

October 26, 2009
By Dirk Campbell of Genoa-Kingston High School

The first ever winter sports parent meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 27th, at 7:00 in the auditorium at GKHS. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss in general our high school athletic philosophy and we will then break out into different areas of the building so that parents and athletes will be able to meet the coaches for the winter sport their athlete is participating in and learn how that particular team will be run. I have had many questions regarding is it mandatory if my child participated in a fall sport and the answer is yes. Although the majority of the information that will come from me will be similar to the fall meeting, the coaches for the winter sports are completely different than the fall and their teams will be run in different ways. My goal is that everyone has a complete understanding of the rules and expectations for basketball and wrestling and being here is the only way that can really take place. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening.
